Håkan Almqvist

Håkan Almqvist

I am a Ph.D. student at the MR&O Lab. I received my M.Sc. in Applied physics and electrical engineering in 2009 from Linköping University.

I was born in Trollhättan in 1984. My university career started in Linköping 2004. I did my thesis work at Volvo CE in Eskilstuna, where I constructed an automatic bucket fill system. Now I am involved in the Allo project, which is a collaboration between Volvo and Örebro University.

My research interests are directed towards automation of vehicles, especially construction equipment. This includes several different areas such as automatic control, computer vision, localisation, object recognition, mapping and more.
